FROM THE MAYOR It is with great pleasure that Hamilton once again hosts the Fuel Festival of New Zealand Theatre. This 11-day event helps to add colour and vibrancy to Hamilton and is a great fit for our city, with its strong emphasis on arts and culture, and commitment to supporting and nurturing our creative talent. Not only is the Fuel Festival of New Zealand Theatre an opportunity for the public to experience and enjoy the very best theatre that this country has to offer, but it also provides a platform for our local writers and performers to share their talent with the community and gain recognition amongst their peers. With a rich and exciting line-up, I am sure that this year’s event will be strongly supported by the public and that its success will help to further cement the Fuel Festival of New Zealand Theatre as a highlight on Hamilton’s event calendar. I hope you’ll find it hard to choose which shows to attend. There is comedy, political satire, endearing storytelling and much more here – all coming to Hamilton.
